of course I heard it million of times – who hasn’t? they grow so fast, you only manage to blink, and they are already big and grownup and leaving home to have life of their own. but seeing it happening in front of your eyes to someone you adore – it’s simply incredible.
you do grow not with every day, but with every hour. and some days faster and more noticeable than others. you constantly develop new movements, new facial expressions, new sounds, new sleeping patterns. I can only imagine what’s going on inside this little body of yours, how fast and tremendously intense are all the processes on every level of your tiny existence.
you already graduated to size 2 diapers and clothes for 3-6 months old. your pediatrician was very impressed by the steady way you hold your head. but crawling forward and crossing the playmate in a minute – isn’t it a little too early for a young man of 2 month old? and where did you learn this trick about arching your back to get out of the comfy swing and boppy lounger when you get bored? you scared me and your daddy when we saw it happening! and where did you learn to raise just one brow when you look at me? do you already mean this cheeky little smile of yours, or it just happens accidentally (and charmingly so) to your pretty face?
you already have a little personality of your own. you are a curious happy child who gets bored easily. you don’t like sunsets and traffic signs. you love to smile and giggle and watch peoples faces. and you like to sleep late, just like your mama. i can’t get enough of you, and watching you grow is just magical. i love you, my little Man!
