SEVEN MONTHS

– things i want to remember, always –

we celebrate your 7 month with six teeth! you didn’t complain not even once, proving yourself once again to be the most amazing baby a mom could wish for. though sleeping has been a bit of a challenge for both mommy and daddy, as now you decided to start your days at 5am, and nothing can soothe you back to sleep. so we adjusted our schedules accordingly, and now enjoying early start of the day together with you – it’s actually fun! (ok, ok, i still miss my sleep-until-noon just a bit)
amount of home-made fruits and veggies purees you eat per day has doubled, and with this appetite i don’t really worry about you loosing these adorable rolls of fat too soon. from now on in restaurants we request a high-chair for you, which you enjoy immensely, be that for eating or just making a mess out of napkins and everything in your vicinity.
an important physical activity milestones have been your swimming with daddy (every day lessons in the pool for a week we’ve been in Miami) and attempts to stand and walk. in fact, the latter is your favorite, and you insist on being grabbed and raised by your hands every time you see us around. it took you only a day to figure out that you need to move your feet forward one at a time to make a progress. so with a little help you are happily parading around our loft. we built you a playground where you can explore things on your own or just roll-over and sing your long melancholic high-pitched songs. now during the walks we enjoy the playground – for kids watching and swings. you sill don’t like books as much as you like cartoons, but we keep on trying.
you are also learning how to be funny (theatrical coughing is your favorite “joke” that instantly makes us laugh, as you well know) and how to be stubborn. it’s hard not to give you what you want.. but you can be distracted by seeing smth new. if everything fails and you are still not happy with the surrounding world (especially when you are in a car with us, and no one sits next to your car seat, entertaining), our rescue is your father’s necklace with a spanner – his trademark piece of jewelry complemented by a beautiful silver chain your grandpa gave to him for last christmas. somehow you like it better than any teethers in the world.
